Parental Control and System Locks
Restrict viewing of programs based on password protected locks:
- Rating:
- Based on Motion Picture Association of America ratings
- Option to select additional protection based on expanded ratings such as violence, language, nudity and sexual content
- Specific Channels:
- Prevent anyone from viewing selected channels unless they enter the correct password
- Lock any channel, including movie channels, Pay-Per-View and local channels
To set channel locks, press the MENU button on your remote, select LOCKS then choose the locks appropriate for your family. Once you’ve made your selection, LOCK THE SYSTEM by setting a password which will ensure you have control over the programming you want and don’t want.
"Adult Guard" is a level of security available for all models of receivers and gives you the capability to remove or restrict the "Adult" channels (Playboy, TeN, Hot Zone, ETC, Extasy) from your Electronic Program Guide. This prevents any children in the household from viewing the programming OR accessing the program information.
